Posters have long been a powerful tool for visual storytelling, serving as a voice for social movements and advocacy throughout history. In New Orleans, a city with a rich history of resistance, resilience, and cultural expression, posters have played a significant role in capturing the fight for justice and confronting injustice. Today, posters continue to serve as a universal visual language, giving both designers and non-designers the ability to communicate messages that challenge, inspire, and provoke change.

This competition invites participants to explore and visually represent the themes of Justice and Injustice, with the winning posters becoming part of our city’s ongoing narrative. We will preserve these posters as powerful historical artifacts, contributing to our collection and leaving a lasting mark on the legacy of design and social impact.
