This exhibition explores the various interpretations of the Zine—how it functions as a format of individual expression and an opportunity to build communities. What unifies this collection in the Diboll, is what unifies all Zines, a format that provides a safe space for their creators to freely express themselves and share their art, words, and thoughts. This collection of non-commercial, self-published books brings together over 50 professional creatives, college students, and high school students. We invite you to explore these works, read more about the history of Zines, and learn how to make your own in the Diboll Gallery.
This exhibition was organized by the School of Communication and Design. Special thanks to Veronica Genova, Katie Rose Hogue, and Meredith Muller for helping curate and install this exhibition as part of their Arts Career Internship class.
