Marx’ first solo design show at Loyola will enchant viewers with its positive and powerful interpretation of design. Combining many techniques of making and printing, the exhibition represents a culmination of Marx’s design output for the last three years. The work is a result of Marx’s commitment to a positive daily design practice, which started during the early days of the pandemic, when she turned towards mediation, yoga and design to survive the challenges of the moment.
This show includes work on paper, metal and fabric along with large 3-D letters, multiple vinyl wall installations and digitally printed foil-stamped postcards.
The repeated use of the words “now” and “wonderful” transform the space to remind viewers to think about the small bits of wonderfulness in everyday life.
